What this budget gets you
This is the entry point to the market. Expect a studio of 24 to 40 sqm in an older building, furnished but dated, with a communal pool and probably no gym. Jomtien is where these are, and View Talay 1 and Sombat Pattaya Condotel are the names that come up most. It is a perfectly comfortable way to live if you pick a building with good shared space.
We cover Jomtien, Pratumnak Hill, Central Pattaya, Wongamat and Naklua, Na Jomtien and Bang Saray, East Pattaya and Huay Yai. At this budget the areas worth looking at first are Jomtien and East Pattaya, where the same money buys noticeably more room.
